The West Window The centre panel of this large array of windows shows our Patron St. Paul preaching during one of his many journeys.  The writing across the two centre windows below this scene reads: “Other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ”.    (1 Corinthians 3:11). This picture is actually a compilation, because what was the back thirty feet of the church was converted into a community room in the 1970s and its ceiling now cuts the window in half.  So this is a piecing together of the bottom half that can be seen in the community room and the top half that can be seen looking backwards from the front of the church. So, if it looks as though the image is doctored - it is! And the text across the bottom of the windows is a dedication to a well loved vicar - “To the Glory of God and in memory of the late Rev. Fred Wareham BD, Vicar of this Parish 1877 to 1907.  This Window was erected by Public Subscription”. Made with Xara Web Designer The Parish of St. Paul Oldham
