The Field Adams Windows (South 3 & 4) The next pair of windows on the South aisle display the most well-known and precious images of Jesus from the way He spoke of Himself. The parable of the Lost Sheep is well-loved because of its promise that God is always watching out for us, and if we stumble or lose our way He will be there to pick us up again.  (Luke 15: 4 - 7 and John 10: 11).  The Window is in memory of John James Adams who was the Schoolmaster at St. Paul's from 1875 to 1886, and Church Warden at the time of his death. The Light of the World is an interpretation of the famous painting by Holman Hunt, one of the Pre- Raphaelite brethren, and there is also a tapestry picture near the Choir vestry door, which was worked by Frank Heywood, and given to us by his widow, Eva. In forgiving and absolving the woman taken in adultery, Jesus tells her "I am the Light of the World, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John 8: 12).  This window is given as a memorial to Rose Field, who died on January 29th 1913.
